What is Shangri La?
Shangri-La" is a fictional place described in the 1933 novel "Lost Horizon" by James Hilton. It has since become a term used to describe a remote and idyllic paradise, often associated with tranquility, harmony, and beauty. Like the way we show developed western countries in the mainstream Cinema. So Shangri La is a kind of earthly Paradise where the concerns and hardships of labor and slavery are minimized or absent, embodying the idea of an idyllic haven.
About this work
This is an extensive project, with a potential duration of at least three years, contingent upon how the feedback and support from readers influence it. The narrative is somewhat autobiographical and metaphorical in nature. Its aim is to illustrate how a social and political system can compel individuals to assimilate into roles that align with its objectives, ultimately establishing a cultural dominance where those deemed undesirable are relegated to the periphery of society.
